I graduated from Kunstakademie Rotterdam in 1993
with a degree in graphic art, secondary subject painting. I live and work in Central Finland in Mänttä and periodically in Finnish Lappland in Ivalo.

I was awarded the Mikkeli award in 2011 and the South-Savo art prize in 2016. I work as an independent artist, artist-curator and art educator. During 2022-2024 I am working on an Arts Promotion Center Finland artist grant.

I want to thank the following instances for
supporting my work:

The critics have written about me:

” Törönen can be described as a draftsman, who has detached herself from the paper and carried the drawing to various materials and also to spatial works..”
Curator Veikko Halmetoja
