”Kirsimaria E. Törönen on piirtäjä, joka on irrottautunut paperilta ja kuljettanut piirrokset mukanaan eri materiaaleihin. Hän tulkitsee teoksissaan taide- ja kulttuurihistoriaa nostamalla aiheen esiin viivalla. Viivasta kasvaa symboleja, joissa näkyy ihmisen tarve ymmärtää ja selittää kokemaansa maailmaa. Tämän inhimillisen tarpeen konkretisointi on Törösen teosten keskeinen sisältö. Uusi näyttely (teossarja Après moi, le dèluge) peilaa maailmantilaa ja yhteiskunnallista keskustelua mustan huumorin keinoin. Useat teokset kertovat tunteettomuudesta ja välinpitämättömyydestä. Mutta paljastamalla sen, ne samalla kutsuvat pohtimaan, voisivatko asiat olla toisin.”

”Kirsimaria E. Törönen is a drawer who has broken away from paper and taken her drawings with her to different materials. In her works she interprets art and cultural history by highlighting the subject with a line. The line grows into symbols that reflect the human need to understand and explain the world they experience. The concretisation of this human need is the central content of Törönen’s works. The new exhibition (the series Après moi, le dèluge) reflects on the state of the world and social debate through dark humor. Several works speak of insensitivity and indifference. But by exposing it, they also invite us to consider whether things could be different.”
